The backend and admin panel behind a two-sided marketplace connecting island drivers with trusted automotive specialists.
AutoPluss is an all-in-one car-care platform for Sint Maarten. Drivers book automotive specialists — mechanics, tire centers, car washes, insurance agents and driving schools — either directly or by broadcasting a job that nearby specialists can respond to. Specialists showcase their work as short videos, run promoted ads, and connect with drivers over in-app voice calls. As the backend developer, I built the backend services and REST APIs, the real-time layer, and the admin panel the team runs the whole operation from.
The Challenge
Running a two-sided marketplace reliably takes a solid backend and a real operations panel. The platform needed services that could power direct and broadcast bookings, a shorts feed, in-app voice calls and push notifications — plus an admin dashboard the team could actually manage everything from — while staying dependable as both sides grew.
The Results
I engineered the backend services and REST APIs, the real-time voice-call and notification layer, and the admin dashboard the team runs the platform from — bookings, specialists, shorts, ads and day-to-day operations. The mobile app was handled by a separate developer on top of my APIs, and the public marketing site runs on WordPress; the backend and admin panel were my focus.
